about Dr. Douglas Flemons

Dr. Douglas Flemons is Professor Emeritus of Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to teaching and supervising during his 30-year academic career, he directed his program's training clinic, and he created and directed the university's Student Counseling Center. Douglas is the author of books on Eastern philosophy and family therapy, clinical hypnosis, suicide assessment, and, most recently, empathy. He maintains a private practice, and he offers talks and conducts workshops nationally and internationally.
