Asheville NC Mental Health Resources for Counseling, Mediation, & Collaborative Law
Hello and welcome. I’m so glad you’ve found your way to this space. Whether you’ve arrived through a shared connection in Western North Carolina or simply stumbled upon this space, I’m happy you are herer. The intention behind this blog is to explore the practical skills and internal shifts that help us navigate the complexities of modern life. In my work and in my own journey, I’ve found that the most profound growth often happens when we slow down enough to actually notice where we are.
So who am I? My name is Reese Wells, LCMHC, NCC, MA. I am a mental health counselor and clinically trained body-mind therapist. I also work in Collaborative Law as a Mental Health Professional Neutral, and am currently in training as a NC FFS Mediator. In my clinical practice I work with adults and adolescents struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and emotional management, especially anger. My focus is on mindfulness and present-moment awareness. I believe in growth within safe, non-judgmental relationships where my clients feel empowered to experience new perspectives, opportunities, and healing. My approach is rooted in trust and collaboration. I value authenticity and bring my true self into this work.
Joe is a blue heeler and a certified Canine Good Citizen. His therapeutic approach is grounded in play & pets. He believes that every person who wants love from a dog deserves it. He is a part of my practice to offer unconditional support and joy.
We live in Asheville, NC. Our practice is based in Western North Carolina, in Asheville NC. I offer counseling services across North Carolina and coaching services to clients across the country.

Article Reviews: There is so much research being published about mental health counseling, collaborative law, and mediation. My hope is to curate and share important research findings related to these fields.

Mindfulness & Breathwork Exercises: As both a clinically trained body-mind counselor and yoga instructor, I love sharing tools related to mindfulness and breathwork. My hope is to share meaningful teachings from mindfulness practitioners in case you’d like to deep dive on your own.
